Lead | 25C 1870 J-915. PCGS PR66+ RB EX SIMPSON |
Description |
R-7- 7-12 Minted. Struck in copper with a plain edge.
What a stunning piece! We totally disagree with CAC (they did not bean it). We assure you, it is as fine of a pattern as we have seen for the grade (of any Judd number). The mirrors are miles deep and blaze all over. The mirrors are also pristine and have bold clarity. There are NO problems of any size, any where. If you twirl the coin, the mirrors have that rolling watery look. Both sides are a gorgeous original mint red/copper/blue color. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have needle sharp strikes. The eye appeal is a knockout!
PCGS 1, NGC 0. This is the FINEST KNOWN J-915. Back in 2008, the NGC PR66 RB sold for $4,830 and has a $7,500.00 Collectors Universe Value. We think this coin should be worth at least CU Value! What a cool, high end pattern! PCGS # 71159
